Nominations are now open for the 2010 Hall of Fame Award, Ad Person of the Year, Service Person of the Year, and our new award, Ad Apprentice of the Year. If you know someone that you would like to nominate for any of these awards, please submit your nominations via email to AAF: CR-IC president Keith Hindman.

About the Awards

All nominations MUST Include:

Hall of Fame Award:

Nominate (email) Someone for Hall of Fame Award

An advertising, marketing, communications or public relations professional with 20 or more years in the business who has served in the Cedar Rapids – Iowa City corridor for ten or more years and has a distinguished track record of service in advertising including professional and community service.

Hall of Fame Nomination Guidelines:

  • Hall of Fame members for consideration may not be self-nominated.
  • Hall of Fame members for consideration may be nominated posthumously
  • Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
  • Nominations will be accepted throughout the year. Selections are made annually no later than January 11, 2011.
  • The Hall of Fame award will be presented at the annual ADDY awards ceremony by AAF: CR-IC President and a representative of the AAF: CR-IC Advisory Board

Ad Person of the Year Award:

This award is created to recognize a professional who has made outstanding contributions to the advertising industry. Award recipients are those who are currently active in furthering industry standards, creative excellence and responsibility in areas of social concern.

  • Members for consideration may not be nominated posthumously.
  • Incomplete nominations will not be considered.
  • Nominations will be accepted throughout the year. Selections are made annually no later than January 11, 2011.
  • The Annual AAF: CR-IC awards will be presented at the annual ADDY awards ceremony by AAF: CR-IC President and a representative of the AAF: CR-IC Advisory Board.

Service Person of the Year Award:

The recipient of this award will have displayed an outstanding commitment to the American Advertising Federation: Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. This individual has displayed countless hours and dedication to our local organization and without this level of commitment, our club could not experience growth and develop the standards we have today. This is your opportunity to thank the individual you believe has gone above and beyond their commitments and truly left a significant mark on the American Advertising Federation: Cedar Rapids and Iowa City. Please evaluate your nominations carefully.

An AAF: CR-IC member with five or less years in the advertising industry (including but not limited to: advertising, marketing, communications or public relations) who demonstrates outstanding work and initiative. This individual’s achievements may be based on professional and community contributions as well as, but not excluded to, AAF:CR-IC service.
