AAF CRIC Wins 2010 Nonprofit Innovation Award, Receives $1,500 Public Service Committee, Sexting Campaign
The CBJ Nonprofit Innovation Awards recognize and honor local nonprofit organizations that demonstrate innovation in their daily operations. Finalists were honored June 8th at an awards breakfast. The AAF CRIC was a finalist in the operations category (sexting campaign) along with Junior Achievement of Eastern Iowa and Systems Unlimited Inc. " As President of the AAFCRIC I'm honored that the AAF sexting campaign has been chosen as a finalists, the Public Service committee did an outstanding job this year, producing two PSA TV spots and a poster. This work has also caught the attention of Bob Brammer, communications director, Iowa Attorney General’s Office and has been passed on to Tom Miller, Iowa's Attorney General." A special thank you goes to Diane Slawson, Public Service Chair. Diane’s committee created the sexting campaign that won 2nd place nationally and 1st in the Corridor Business Journal’s nonprofit Innovation Awards, which resulted in the AAF receiving $1,500.
