Ad Fed Education Day Features Creative Academy
Cedar Rapids, Iowa – The Advertising Federation of Cedar Rapids/Iowa City will host their annual Education Day on Friday November 6th at the Kirkwood Continuing Education Center at 7725 Kirkwood Boulevard SW. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with sessions lasting until 3 p.m. All area high school and college students looking to expand their knowledge in the world of advertising and marketing are invited to come experience this event.
The day’s activities include five hands-on creative sessions led by local advertising and marketing professionals designed to help students learn more about the creative aspects of the industry. At the end of the day, students will be given the opportunity to try their hand at developing a big idea often used as the platform for creative advertising development.
Clint Runge, co-founder and creative director of Archrival, a distinguished Midwest-based brand strategy and design firm known for its strategically creative and never–say-die work ethic will serve as keynote speaker over a noon-time networking lunch. Runge will be sharing Archrival’s experience, strategies and work on hitting the constantly changing youth-minded market in working with clients such as Red Bull, Old Chicago, and Microsoft.
