This opportunity will provide students with a first-hand look at careers in marketing, graphic design, multimedia communications, and public relations. It's a great way to see a little bit of the real world and network with industry professionals!

Join the American Advertising Federation of Cedar Rapids - Iowa City for a fun filled day of learning geared directly toward students, and anyone who wants an introductory course on what it's really like in the advertising world. Learn the importance of personal branding and how you can best market your 'purple cow' abilities by utilizing online tools and developing your niche.

Meet at the Kirkwood Center for registration and a ride. Kick the morning off with tours of a local advertising agency, and a commercial printing facility. Continue on with lunch back at Kirkwood and hear from our featured speaker Megan Jasin. Learn how she has molded her personal brand and the opportunities that have come from it. Stay for the afternoon and get a transparent view of a 'day in the life of' a local advertising agency creative. To end Education Day 2010 there will be an informal mini career fair. An opportunity for you, the students, to connect with like minded local professionals.
